Design, construction and supply of an electric car prototype

The subject matter of the project is to work out and construct the prototype of the electric car in a 1:1 scale. Along with the construction of the prototype, its project and production/technological documentation will be drawn up.

The process of constructing the prototype will include the following tasks:

1.    working out functional vision;

2.    working out stylistic vision;

3.    working out elements of the interior of the vehicle;

4.    working out the exterior elements;

5.    working out the frame and suspension;

6.    working out steering system;

7.    working out braking system;

8.    working out driving system;

9.    working out algorithms of controlling the drive;

10.    working out the methods of controlling drive;

11.    performing FEM strength analysis;

12.    constructing the prototype of the vehicle with an electric drive.

The constructed prototype of the electric vehicle will have the following parameters:

1.   modular construction ensuring easy conversion of the vehicle depending on the required task (passenger version, freight version, etc.);

2.   weight of the vehicle without the battery will range from 350 and 850 kg;

3.   maximum load capacity of the vehicle ranges from 150 and 550 kg;

4.   minimum volume of the boot space in the passenger version ranges from  300 and 400 litres;

5.   minimum volume of the boot space in the freight version ranges from 1500 and 2000 litres;

6.   possibility of programme-based limiting maximum speed to 25 km/h;

7.   minimum reach of the vehicle at the environment temperature of 10°C (average speed between 45 and 50 km/h) is above 150km;

8.   automatic system of recharging battery ensuring 100% charging of the battery within the time shorter than 10 hours and 80% charging of the battery within the time shorter than 1 hour using an external charging source;

9.   one or multi-engine electric drive with a total power greater than or equal to 5 kW;

10.  off-road capability to 30%;

11.   monitoring, diagnostic testing and selection of parameter options of the vehicles through the user’s interface connected with the on-board computer and the internal communication network;

12.  possibility of remote diagnostic testing by the public network (GPRS/Internet);

13.   electric installation available for the vehicle will guarantee the possibility of cooperation between the battery and additional sources of electric energy (super-condensers, fuel cells, solar cells, regenerative braking system and external stationary chargers with great capacity).

Value of the project: PLN 8,505,000.00 gross.
