Smart City Zakopane 2012

He achieved great success. It was one of the first steps taken by the city authorities based on the Zakopane brand promotion strategy, which was developed in 2012. Thanks to it, the capital of Podhale became the Polish pioneer of a new trend – “Smart City.” Its overarching goal was to improve the functioning of the city, manage non-renewable resources efficiently, and enhance the quality of life for residents and the comfort of tourists through the use of modern technologies. The project is currently being implemented thanks to funds obtained from the European Union.
