Smart City/EKOZAKOPANE 2017

EkoZakopane 2017 Congress was established to become more acquainted with the subject of environmental protection, sustainable development, urban space and to promote eco-tourism and local products. The topics discussed will include effective development of regional and rural policy. Panel discussions and lectures are going to be conducted by experts from many sectors of business and science, which guarantees the highest level of discussion. Thanks to the invitation of speakers from many countries, participants will be fully acquaint themselves with the issues of sustainable development in other countries. Congress offers a unique opportunity to look at many different aspects of effective management of urban space.

Main assumptions of EkoZakopane 2017 Congress:

Discussions on environmental policy, low-carbon transport and small scale energy in cities, municipalities and provinces;

Promoting the role of local authorities in establishing coherent national policy;

Presentation of sport and tourism as potential instruments of sustainable urban development;

On the first day of the Congress, the National Day of Environmental Protection Employee Gala is scheduled. The event is combined with presentation of the “Green Leaf” Award by the Minister of Environment. On the second day, presentation of statuettes “EKO Janosik 2017” by the fire.

In addition to the conference and gala, EKOZAKOPANE offers the participants many attractions, including nightly circus shows at Krupówki with stilt walkers, fire eaters and a picnic for the Congress guests.
